Some times truth really is stranger than fiction.... I could not put this book down. I even looked on-line in the middle of reading the second story because although it said it was a true story, I started to have doubts. I read true crime alot and this book was a great one. It's very sad there are so many selfish and mean people in this world.
Both stories had me riveted!! I downloaded the sample at first,but by the end of the first chapter,I knew I had to buy the while book! Its only taken me two days to finish!I downloaded quite a few from this series,and I'm sure I'll be buying quite a fewðŸ’
I just purchased the new book in the series so I will can honestly say although these are real crime stories which are so hard to believe James Patterson does such a wonderful job of making it so interesting that you can't stop turning the pages . I understand that this series is on the history channel and I'm going to try to find the movies . I give this five stars and highly recommend it!
I usually don't read true crime stories but these two were really good. In the first one a husband hires a hit man but things don't go according to plan. In the second one a loving mother cares for her sickly daughter but is their relationship all that it appears to be? If you like true crime stories you will love these.
There were times I wanted to put this book away and find something else to read. I frequently wonder how Patterson comes up with such twisted sick characters.
A story of Munchausen by Proxy, not hard to believe, but one I know does go on in our society. If this story has been done to bring light on the subject, so be it but, if it’s supposed to be for entertainment I’m sadly disappointed. I expect better from Patterson!
James Patterson and his associates write Great books. This one like all Patterson books wasGreat I couldn’t put it down til I finished it.
Another Patterson failure. It reads more like a Gothic Novel, than a serious work of non-fiction. I had a hard time believing the last story at all. Even though, I'm well aware of that disease. The characters were like plastic hero figures. Wooden dolls.
