About the Author

My grandson enjoyed reading Curious George's First Day of School book. He can't wait to find out what happens at the end of the story. I would recommend these books to other friends and family members with children who enjoys reading, and the desire with exceling in reading.
Curious George's First Day of School carries along like almost every other Curious George story - introduction of George, he finds himself getting in trouble, Man with the Yellow Hat (MWTYH) bails him out and everyone thanks George for saving the day. What's not to love? My 6 year old son loves Curious George. It's incredible how much he picks up on from story to story. As he advances his own reading, this is a story he absolutely adores!
My son, age three, has been obsessed with Curious George for about a year now. We have most of the book titles in print now. I purchased Curious George's First Day of School for my son a few months before he began preschool to help prepare him for the experience. While this book is more about George visiting an elementary or primary school classroom, it did help start the conversation with my son about going to school. Of course, in this tale George finds a way to cause more unintentional trouble, with a happy ending. The story is simple and appeals to my little preschooler. A must for every Curious George fan! A side note: this story is written and illustrated in the more classic George style, not the PBS television show.
This was a gift. I presume there has been no problems with the book.This is a fun series of books to help children and adults with new or difficult situations.I have used books in this series before to help special needs children not be afraid of an event coming up in their lives.
I bought this book for my child who is beginning Kindergarten this fall. He is a big fan of Curious George. This is a good book to start talking more about beginning school! He really enjoys this book. I find any time there is a big transition in kid's lives it is good to have a couple of good books to help them feel more comfortable with the transition, this is one of those.
I was so excited to order this book for my daughters first day of preschool. She loves it! It's perfect for pre-k through elementary school. In the story, Curious George is chosen to be a special helper at school and gets into some mischief while doing so. The ending is sweet and shows how friends help each other. It's short, maybe 10 pages long and easy enough for a quick bedtime story. We recommend it!
My son's first day of school will be coming up next fall so I though this would make the perfect birthday gift to get him ready for it. He loves the Curious George books and I'm sure this one will be no different.This was shipped on time and well packaged. For the paperback version, this seems put together nicely to ensure many reads.
It gets a 3 b/c it had rather good reviews but I was expecting something that might help prepare my son for school a little. Gives the impression that school is fun but kinda not related. It's the usual kooky antics of CG. My son likes it a lot. Maybe makes school less scary.
